Niklas Andersson

Niklas Andersson is an artist based in Malmö. He works across a range of scales and techniques, including acrylic, watercolour, and dry pastels. With a strong interest in colour and composition, he moves fluidly between nature, flora, portraiture, and abstraction. For Niklas, the material itself is essential—the texture of the paper becomes an active part of the work, interacting with its colour and form.

Niklas has a background as a craftsman but discovered painting later in life after experiencing brain hemorrhages. Over time, his craftsmanship has shifted from the hard to the soft.
